Statement of Significance

I choose our family farm as my heritage site.  This summer we will mark one hundred years on this homestead in the R.M of Connaught.  On our farm stands a beautiful old red barn built in 1919, by my great, great grandfather.  As I stand in the alleyway I imagine the stalls freshened with straw and the sweet smell of those precious Belgian horses.  This place is important to me because it's my past, my roots and my home.
