The 2008-09 Provincial Budget contains $4.2 million in new funding to maintain support for arts and cultural organizations to ensure a vibrant and sustainable arts and cultural sector in the province.

The Ministry of Tourism, Parks, Culture and Sport has committed $100 million to address regional, cultural and recreational infrastructure needs, supporting the government's commitment to make life better for Saskatchewan families and build a better future for young people.

The deadline for submissions for the third and final year of the Building Communities Program was April 30, 2008.  Projects in Saskatoon, Martensville, Melville and Sandy Bay have been approved from the 2008 intake. Links to the new releases for these announcements are below:
