Find A Park Echo Valley Provincial Park
The focus of activity in this recreational park is the area separating Pasqua and Echo lakes in the expansive Qu'Appelle Valley, a rolling green carpet of hills and ravines that takes its name from an Indian legend about a young man who thought he heard someone calling his name. This delta area situated between the beaches and boat launches of the two lakes is a cultured lawn and park with change rooms, play areas, barbecues, a mini-golf facility and volleyball courts. Valleyview and Aspen campgrounds sit on a treed plain above the valley and feature 221 campsites, 153 of which are electrified. Both campgrounds have a service centre with hot showers and access to modern, barrier-free washrooms as well as non-modern facilities. Lakeview campground is nestled amid white birch and maples on the south side of Echo Lake and has a trailer section with 23 electrical sites and a tenting area with 64 non-electrical ones. Lakeview offers modern, non-modern and barrier-free washroom facilities. There are several group-camping areas in the park. These include two RV group sites with a multiple plug-in power pedestal at each.
Five group campgrounds (non-electrical). Seasonal CampingEcho Valley offers seasonal camping spots. The sites are distributed through a lottery system. The application and rules are available here. The deadline to apply is Tuesday, February 16, 2010. The lottery will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2010. The public is welcome to attend the draw. Contact the park for the time and location. There are limited services in the actual park, though a scenic 10-minute drive from the park takes you to the historic town of Contact Echo Valley
