This is a ‘SAMPLE’ of the great educational programs available. Contact the Park office at (306) 662-5411 for ‘NEW’ program information.

Education Programs

Your class can experience the unique Geology, Pine Forests, Wildlife, and Cultural history of the Cypress Hills through educational and exciting spring, fall or winter outings in Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park, Saskatchewan.  Programs are designed to follow and enhance Core Curriculum studies.  Park interpreters lead your class through hands-on activities, which help students discover the Cypress Hill’s ecosystems and cultural diversity.

Most programs are one and one-half to two hours in length, which includes travel time to and from trails and program areas.  Your own transportation is required.  Fall and winter programs are limited, please call for more information.

$1.00 per student per program is required to cover program costs (subject to change without notice).  Teachers and Chaperones are required to participate in all programs at no charge.

'Leave No Trace’ Program

All class bookings are required to complete a ‘Pre-trip Activity’ to ensure they ‘Leave No Trace’ when they leave the park.  Information will be provided upon booking.

Be prepared: What To Bring

Each student and adult should bring their own changes of clothing for wet conditions, rubber boots, rain gear, cold weather jacket (even a heavy winter parka), mitts, hat, water bottle, sunscreen, bug repellent, and a ground sheet/tarp.

Participant Limits

Each program time slot is limited to 15 to 20 students, unless otherwise indicated.

Program Times

Programs run at 9:00am, 10:30am, 1:30pm, and 3:00pm.
