Find A Park Emma Lake Recreation Site
You are invited to visit Saskatchewan's scenic and beautiful Lakeland area, consisting of Christopher, Emma and Anglin Lakes. An endless array of activities awaits you, whatever your interests are. Just 50 km north of Prince Albert, Emma Lake Recreation Site offers the best of both worlds in this meeting point of parkland and pristine northern forests: from the modern conveniences of shopping, restaurants, motels and art galleries to watching loons and blue herons in their natural environment - all within minutes of each other. Beaches at Murray Point Campground and Day-use area on Emma Lake have marked swimming areas and are great places to enjoy your endless summer days while ensuring the kids are safely swimming within a designated area. Golf lovers have it made in Lakeland; some of the finest golf courses in Saskatchewan are within a half-hour drive. Other popular summertime activities like picnicking and hiking are available. Special events within the park take place during the summer months to add enjoyment for campers. Winter activities in Lakeland range from cross-country skiing on groomed trails and snowmobiling on a wilderness trail system to ice fishing on one of many lakes. CampingEmma Lake is a Reserve-a-Site park. Click here for more information on the Reserve-a-Site program, or to access the online form to reserve sites on or after Friday, June 18, 2010. Note - all sites on 5th Street are now designated as Maximum 14 Consecutive Night Stay sites. Requests for stays that would exceed that number of nights will all be accommodated in alternate electric sites. The maximum 14 consecutive night stay program will provide more campers with an opportunity to camp in a Saskatchewan provincial park by ensuring there is turnover in each of the designated campsites, better accommodating the demand for electric sites. Limits will be in place in these specific sites only during the peak camping season from June 24 to August 15. Maximum stay sites 131-136 and 153-159 can be reserved while maximum stay sites 137-152 are first come, first served. Murray Point Campground is situated at Emma Lake Recreation Site and has electrified campsites, wheelchair accessible campsites, shower and change facilities and a beach adjacent to the campground. A boat launch and fish filleting station are also part of Murray Point's services to campers. A group camping area is also available for bookings. There are two playgrounds within the campground and another playground and a beach in an adjoining day use area. The Reserve-A-Site program is available at Murray Point Campground.
Seasonal CampingEmma Lake offers seasonal camping spots. The sites are distributed through a lottery system. The application and rules are available here. The deadline to apply is Tuesday, February 16, 2010. The lottery will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2010. The public is welcome to attend the draw. Contact the park for the time and location.
