Saskatchewan's new Active Family Benefit program will provide a $150 per year, per child refundable tax credit beginning in the 2009 tax year.  Once consultations with global cultural, sport and recreation organizations establish guidelines to define eligible activities, it is anticipated that as many as 120,000 children will benefit from this program.

The Ministry of Tourism, Parks, Culture and Sport will provide $100 million to support cultural and recreational infrastructure needs throughout the province.

The Community Initiatives Fund (CIF) was established in The Saskatchewan Gaming Corporation Act to ensure that Saskatchewan communities received visible benefits from casino profits.
