Come play, relax, or just enjoy the great view at one of the prettiest beaches in the lovely Qu'Appelle Valley.

Katepwa Point Provincial Park is a small recreational park located less than an hour northeast of Regina on Katepwa Lake.  Adjacent to the beach, is a cultured lawn and park area with picnic and barbecue facilities, a playground, change house, washrooms and parking.

At privately-owned facilities outside the park, but right across the street, you will find fast food, gas, a store and a hotel with a restaurant, bar and accommodations.  Nearby log cabins rent on a year ‘round basis (phone 306-783-7951). Golfers will appreciate two nine-hole, grass green courses situated close to the park.

Wake up your senses! Visit Katepwa Point Provincial Park and embrace summer in the splendour of the magnificent Qu'Appelle Valley.

Camping

There is no campground at Katepwa, but campsites are available at Echo Valley Provincial Park just 27 km away and there is a private, 250-site seasonal campground adjacent to the park.

Things to Do at Katepwa Point

Swimming, swimming lessons, boating, and fishing for pike, perch and walleye are popular activities at this day-use only park.

Swimming:  The beach at Katepwa Point Provincial Park is a favourite summer spot for cottagers, campers and day visitors.  The buoyed swimming area is large with a sandy beach and a large grassed area adjacent to the beach with both sunny and shady areas to picnic, relax or play with friends and family.  Swimming lessons are given by Courtney Keith, and her qualified staff, from July 1 to mid August.  Registration is every Sunday afternoon at the beach or beach house.

Fishing:  Katepwa Lake is a popular lake to fish for perch, walleye and northern pike.  You may fish from the shore, west of the beach area toward the point, or you may launch your boat at the boat launch, east of the beach area.

Boat Launch:  The boat launch area is to the east of the beach with a parking area nearby.  The boat launch has one dock and two launch pads and was reconstructed in 2002 to make launching easier.

Mini-Golf:  The Katewpa Beach Hotel has mini-golf on the north side of the hotel.  Phone (306) 332-4696.
