Saskatchewan Parks - St. Victor Petroglyphs
Saskatchewan Provincial Parks - Wake Up Your Senses

The St. Victor Petroglyphs are one of Saskatchewan's mysteries.  No one knows exactly who carved them, why they were carved or even when they were carved.  All we can be certain of is that they provide clues to the people who lived on Saskatchewan's plains hundreds of years ago at a time predating any of our written records.

The best time to view the glyphs is on a clear day in the early morning or towards sunset when the shallow grooves cast shadows which define and outline the shapes.  An interpretive panel and a reproduction of selected glyphs are near the picnic area and toilets and at the trailhead leading to the glyphs.

Group tours available during summer by calling (306) 642-4016.  Additional information is available through the Friends of the Petroglyphs at (306) 642-4016.  Admission to the site is free.  This site is a Museums Association of Saskatchewan member.
