Saskatchewan Parks - Crooked Lake Park

Swimming, fishing and boating are popular pastimes in this small and quiet family park.  There is a boat launch and fish filleting shelter not too far from the beach.  Hikers, cyclists and horseback riders can access the Trans Canada Trail that runs right through the valley and into the mixed prairie grassland beyond.  The large, day-use area of the park, meanwhile, features a large irrigated lawn, a creative playground, as well as picnic areas with barbecues under a canopy of Green Ash and Poplar right by the lake.

Just 3 km from the park, the Last Oak Golf and Country Club is an 18-hole, fully irrigated grass green facility with a pro shop, restaurant and lounge.  There are resorts with cabin rentals 2 km east and west of the park.  Together they offer groceries, gas, mini-golf, laundry facilities, an arcade, and a flea market every Sunday from June to the Labour Day weekend.

Water-based Recreation

Located on one of the chain of lakes in the scenic Qu’Appelle Valley, Crooked Lake offers an assortment of water-based activities.

Boat Launch/Fishing:  Crooked Lake has a boat launch facility with a fish filleting building near by.  The lake offers perch, pickerel, and pike.

Swimming:  Enjoy sandy beaches while you soak up the rays and cool down in the water.  There is a beach area that offers sand, shade and a grassy area.
