Camping

Saskatchewan's natural beauty and clean air make camping in a provincial park a refreshing experience.  Saskatchewan's 34 provincial parks and recreation sites offer a wide range of camping experiences to choose from.  All of our primary campgrounds offer service centres with free bathroom and shower facilities and most offer laundry facilities and playground areas.  Fresh drinking water, fire pits, fire wood and picnic tables are available at all provincial parks.

To help you plan your vacation, Saskatchewan provincial parks welcome both walk-up customers and customers wishing to reserve a site in advance.  Walk-up customers are awarded a site on a first come, first served basis.  There are 20 parks offering the Reserve-a-Site program; if the park you are interested in visiting is not listed on the Reserve-a-Site page, all sites in that park are awarded on a first come first served basis.

Choose a full service campsite or electric or non-electric sites, most with access to a service centre.  Group, seasonal, and non-serviced sites are also available in most parks.  For information on camping at a specific park, visit that park's page, using the Find A Park search tool.

Reserve-a-Site
20 of our provincial parks allow you to pre-book your site through the Reserve-a-Site program.  You can rest easy knowing that you have your holiday planned.  Reserve-a-Site for the 2009 camping season opens online on January 1, 2009.

Seasonal Camping
A number of our provincial parks offer customers the opportunity to purchase a site on a seasonal basis.  Find information here on applying for a seasonal site or for a list of parks that offer seasonal camping.

Group Camping
Looking for a spot to host that family reunion or group get-together?  Look no farther than a Saskatchewan provincial park.

30-Night Shoulder Season Promotion
New in 2009, Saskatchewan Parks are excited to offer a 30-consecutive-night shoulder season rate during the spring and fall seasons.

Equestrian Camping
Travel with their horses and explore the parks on horseback.

Camping Fees

The following fees for the Saskatchewan provincial park system are as of January 1, 2009.  Fees are reviewed annually and subject to change prior to the next operating season.

Value is a park promise.  Access to the parks and all standard features are included in your fees; including washrooms and showers, boat launch, sewage disposal, trails, beach access, fire wood and more.  With the exception of historic parks, most parks offer drinking water, fire pits and picnic tables.

Camping fees are charged on a per-unit, per-night basis.  Entry fees must be paid in addition to camping fees.

Camping Fee Notes for the camping fee listed below:

  • a Service Centre is a campground building which includes hot/cold running water, sinks, electrical outlets, showers and flush toilets;
  • a Full Service campsite means direct hook up at the campsite for water, electricity and sewer (available at Buffalo Pound, Cypress Hills, Duck Mountain, Makwa, Meadow Lake and Moose Mountain Provincial Parks); and
  • an Economy campsite may be in an overflow area and have few services nearby.
